Joanne C. Curcio - After spending one too many winters in Boston, Joanne decided it was time to trade in her ice scraper for a snorkel and head for the Caribbean. She lived for 10 years in St. Croix, where she co-founded Island Melee, a popular satire magazine that poked fun at island life. For the last nine years she's lived in Puerto Rico, but still calls the U.S.V.I. home. She is a freelance travel, food and wine writer and resides in San Juan with her hubby Darby, their feisty toddler Rico, and two beloved Puerto Rican terriers Cleo and Lola.
